The cream has comedolytic, anti-acne and skin brightening properties. Azelaic acid has strong bacteriostatic and sebostatic properties, thus reducing the appearance of acne scars caused by common acne or sebaceous rosacea. Azelaic acid also produces a gentle keratolytic effect that helps lighten discolorations and even out the epidermis, leaving the skin smooth and evenly pigmented. Hexylresorcinol, as a tyrosinase inhibitor, regulates melanogenesis, which helps reduce sun, hormonal and inflamed skin spots.
Suitable for use on combination and seborrheic skin as well as sensitive and couperose skin prone to pimples and comedones.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
• Night cream. Once you cleanse your skin in a two-step process, apply the cream and massage gently into the skin. After you layer on the cream, wash your hands.
• Do not apply to the eye area.
• When using skin care products based
on azelaic acid, apply zinc-based Dermomedica Antioxidant Mineral Cream SPF 30 or Resveratrol Mineral Cream SPF 30 during the day for mineral photoprotection.
