How does it work?
After injection into the skin, Profhilo starts to work immediately.
It’s unique structure allows it to flow freely through the subcutaneous tissue and dermis in the target areas, creating volume evenly over the following 24 to 48 hours.
This gives Profhilo a significant advantage over other filler treatments, as the product doesn’t form lumps or nodules that need to be massaged to achieve the desired result.
The product remains in the skin for about 28 days, in which time it continues to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin by slowly releasing the HA.
This creates both a ‘dermal scaffold’ that tightens and lifts the skin, while also boosting skin tissue quality through HA’s hydrating and stimulating action.
The BAP technique
For treating areas in the lower face (the malar and sub-malar areas), we inject the product into five specific points – the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs) – to optimise the placement of the HA.
The BAP technique is unique to Profhilo because of its high ‘spreadability’. It makes the treatment more comfortable for you, as only 5 injection points are needed on either side of the face, meaning fewer side effects and less downtime
It also makes the injection part of the procedure quicker, as it only takes about 10-15 minutes.
How many treatments will I need?
2 treatments, 4 weeks apart.
When will I see results?
For better, longer-lasting results, we recommend 2 Profhilo treatments 4 weeks apart.
The improvements to the quality of your skin and the lifting and tightening effect develop subtly over several weeks.
While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, the best results are visible around 4 weeks after the second treatment.
After 10-12 weeks, your skin will also appear more hydrated, healthy and youthful.
How long do results last?
The improvements in firmness, elasticity, and overall skin quality should last about 6 months after your 2 sessions.
